Sea urchins are prized not only for fishing, but also for their ecological role. Its presence is an indicator of the health of marine waters, and its role in the balance of ecosystems is essential. For Maria, the sea urchin evokes many childhood memories, particularly the month of March, when she and her family would go sea urchin fishing on the rocks of the island.
